우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 Globular Star Cluster 47 Tuc 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. Globular star cluster 47 Tucanae is a jewel of the southern sky. Also known as NGC 104, it roams the halo of our Milky Way Galaxy along with some 200 other globular star clusters. The second brightest globular cluster (after Omega Centauri) as seen from planet Earth, 47 Tuc lies about 13,000 light-years away. It can be spotted with the naked-eye close on the sky to the Small Magellanic Cloud in the constellation of the Toucan. The dense cluster is made up of hundreds of thousands of stars in a volume only about 120 light-years across. Red giant stars on the outskirts of the cluster are easy to pick out as yellowish stars in this sharp telescopic portrait. Tightly packed globular cluster 47 Tuc is also home to a star with the closest known orbit around a black hole. 구상성단 큰부리새자리 47은 남쪽 하늘의 보석이다. NGC 104로도 알려진 이 성단은 약 200개의 다른 구상성단과 함께 우리 은하 헤일로를 배회합니다. 지구에서 봤을 때 센타우루스자리 오메가 다음으로 밝은 구상성단인 큰부리새자리 47은 약 13,000광년 떨어져 있다. 큰부리새자리 소마젤란운의 하늘에서 맨눈으로 볼 수 있다. 밀도가 높은 성단은 지름이 약 120광년에 불과한 수십만 개의 별들로 이루어져 있다. 성단 외곽에 있는 적색 거성은 이 날카로운 망원경 초상화에서 노란 별들로 쉽게 구별할 수 있습니다. 빽빽이 들어찬 구상성단 47은 블랙홀 주위에 가장 가까운 궤도를 돌고 있는 항성의 고향이기도 하다. 우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~
