Big storms are different on Jupiter. On Earth, huge hurricanes and colossal cyclones are centered on regions of low pressure, but on Jupiter, it is the high-pressure, anti-cyclone storms that are the largest. On Earth, large storms can last weeks, but on Jupiter they can last years. On Earth, large storms can be as large as a country, but on Jupiter, large storms can be as large as planet Earth. Both types of storms are known to exhibit lightning. The featured image of Jupiter's clouds was composed from images and data captured by the robotic Juno spacecraft as it swooped close to the massive planet in August 2020.  A swirling white oval is visible nearby, while numerous smaller cloud swirls extend into the distance.  On Jupiter, light-colored clouds are usually higher up than dark clouds. 큰 폭풍은 목성에서 다르다. 지구에서는 거대한 허리케인과 거대한 사이클론이 저기압 지역에 집중되어 있지만, 목성에서는 가장 큰 것은 고기압의 반 사이클론 폭풍이다. 지구에서는 큰 폭풍이 몇 주 동안 지속될 수 있지만, 목성에서는 몇 년 동안 지속될 수 있다. 지구에서는 큰 폭풍이 한 나라만큼 클 수 있지만, 목성에서는 큰 폭풍이 지구만큼 클 수 있다. 두 종류의 폭풍 모두 번개를 동반하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 목성 구름의 특징적인 이미지는 2020년 8월 거대한 행성에 가까이 접근할 때 로봇 주노 우주선이 포착한 이미지와 데이터로 구성되었다.  소용돌이치는 흰색 타원형이 근처에서 보이고, 수많은 작은 구름들이 멀리까지 소용돌이치고 있다.  목성에서 밝은 색의 구름은 보통 어두운 구름보다 더 높다. 그들의 차이에도 불구하고, 먼 목성의 폭풍 구름을 연구하는 것은 익숙한 지구의 폭풍과 다른 날씨 패턴에 대한 통찰력을 제공합니다.  Surf the Universe: 랜덤 APOD 생성기
