어떤 우주의 모습을 비춰줄까요?
우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 Supernova Remnant: The Veil Nebula 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. Ten thousand years ago, before the dawn of recorded human history, a new light would have suddenly have appeared in the night sky and faded after a few weeks. Today we know this light was from a supernova, or exploding star, and record the expanding debris cloud as the Veil Nebula, a supernova remnant. Imaged with color filters featuring light emitted by sulfur (red), hydrogen (green), and oxygen (blue), this deep wide-angle view was processed to remove the stars and so better capture the impressive glowing filaments of the Veil. Also known as the Cygnus Loop, the Veil Nebula is roughly circular in shape and covers nearly 3 degrees on the sky toward the constellation of the Swan (Cygnus). Famous nebular sections include the Bat Nebula, the Witch's Broom Nebula, and Fleming's Triangular Wisp. The complete supernova remnant lies about 1,400 light-years away. 1만 년 전, 기록된 인류 역사의 새벽이 오기 전, 밤하늘에 갑자기 새로운 빛이 나타났다가 몇 주가 지나자 희미해졌을 것이다. 오늘날 우리는 이 빛이 초신성 또는 폭발하는 별에서 나온 것임을 알고 있으며, 팽창하는 잔해 구름을 초신성 잔해인 베일 성운으로 기록한다. 황(빨간색), 수소(초록색), 산소(파란색)에서 방출되는 빛을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터로 촬영된 이 광각 뷰는 별을 제거하고 베일의 인상적인 빛나는 필라멘트를 더 잘 포착하기 위해 처리되었습니다. 백조 고리로도 알려진 베일 성운은 대략 원형 모양이며 백조자리 방향으로 하늘에서 거의 3도를 덮고 있다. 유명한 성운 부분으로는 박쥐 성운, 마녀의 빗자루 성운, 플레밍의 삼각 위스프가 있다. 완전한 초신성 잔해는 약 1,400 광년 떨어져 있다. 우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~
그리고 광활하며 거대합니다. 형형색색 변화하며 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 주네요~ 가볼 수는 없지만 이렇게 사진으로 볼 수 있어서 좋네요!
