어떤 우주의 모습을 비춰줄까요?
우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 The Lively Center of the Lagoon Nebula 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. The center of the Lagoon Nebula is a whirlwind of spectacular star formation. Visible near the image center, at least two long funnel-shaped clouds, each roughly half a light-year long, have been formed by extreme stellar winds and intense energetic starlight. A tremendously bright nearby star, Herschel 36, lights the area. Vast walls of dust hide and redden other hot young stars. As energy from these stars pours into the cool dust and gas, large temperature differences in adjoining regions can be created generating shearing winds which may cause the funnels. This picture, spanning about 10 light years, combines images taken in six colors by the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope. The Lagoon Nebula, also known as M8, lies about 5000 light years distant toward the constellation of the Archer (Sagittarius). Almost hyperspace: Random APOD Generator 라군 성운의 중심은 화려한 별 형성의 소용돌이입니다. 이미지 센터 근처에서 볼 수 있는, 각각 약 반 광년 길이의 적어도 두 개의 긴 깔때기 모양의 구름은 극심한 항성풍과 강렬한 에너지 넘치는 별빛에 의해 형성되었다. 엄청나게 밝은 근처의 별 허셜 36이 그 지역을 밝히고 있다. 거대한 먼지 벽이 다른 뜨거운 젊은 별들을 숨기고 붉게 물들인다. 이 별들의 에너지가 차가운 먼지와 가스로 흘러들어가면서, 인접한 지역의 큰 온도차가 발생하며, 이로 인해 깔때기가 발생할 수 있다. 약 10광년에 걸친 이 사진은 공전 중인 허블 우주 망원경에 의해 찍힌 6가지 색상의 이미지들을 합친 것이다.
