What are these two giant arches across the sky? Perhaps the more familiar one, on the left, is the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy. This grand disk of stars and nebulas here appears to encircle much of the southern sky. Visible below the stellar arch is the rusty-orange planet Mars and the extended Andromeda galaxy. But this night had more! For a few minutes during this cold arctic night, a second giant arch appeared encircling part of the northern sky: an aurora. Auroras are much closer than stars as they are composed of glowing air high in Earth's atmosphere. Visible outside the green auroral arch is the group of stars popularly known as the Big Dipper. 하늘을 가로지르는 이 두 개의 거대한 아치는 무엇인가요? 아마도 왼쪽에 더 익숙한 것은 우리 은하의 중심 대역일 것이다. 이 거대한 별들과 성운들의 원반은 남쪽 하늘의 많은 부분을 둘러싸고 있는 것처럼 보인다. 항성 아치 아래에는 녹슨 오렌지색 행성인 화성과 확장된 안드로메다 은하가 보인다. 하지만 오늘 밤은 더 있었어요! 이 추운 북극의 밤에 몇 분 동안, 북쪽 하늘의 일부를 둘러싸고 있는 오로라라는 두 번째 거대한 아치가 나타났습니다. 오로라는 지구 대기권의 높은 곳에서 빛나는 공기로 이루어져 있기 때문에 별보다 훨씬 더 가깝다. 녹색 오로라 아치 바깥에서 볼 수 있는 것은 북두칠성으로 알려진 별들의 무리이다. 2022년 11월 중순 노르웨이 로포텐 제도 상공에서 20장의 디지털 합성 영상이 촬영되었다. 검토 중인 APOD 연도(2023): RJN의 밤하늘 네트워크 강연

 

우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~ 그리고 광활하며 거대합니다. 형형색색 변화하며 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 주네요~ 가볼 수는 없지만 이렇게 사진으로 볼 수 있어서 좋네요!
