어떤 우주의 모습을 비춰줄까요?
우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 M31: The Andromeda Galaxy 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. The most distant object easily visible to the unaided eye is M31, the great Andromeda Galaxy. Even at some two and a half million light-years distant, this immense spiral galaxy -- spanning over 200,000 light years -- is visible, although as a faint, nebulous cloud in the constellation Andromeda. In contrast, a bright yellow nucleus, dark winding dust lanes, and expansive spiral arms dotted with blue star clusters and red nebulae, are recorded in this stunning telescopic image which combines data from orbiting Hubble with ground-based images from Subaru and Mayall. In only about 5 billion years, the Andromeda galaxy may be even easier to see -- as it will likely span the entire night sky -- just before it merges with our Milky Way Galaxy. 맨눈으로 쉽게 볼 수 있는 가장 먼 천체는 안드로메다 은하인 M31이다. 약 250만 광년 떨어진 곳에서도 안드로메다자리에서는 희미하고 흐릿한 구름이지만 20만 광년이 넘는 이 거대한 나선은하가 보입니다. 이와는 대조적으로 밝은 노란색 핵, 검고 감긴 먼지 통로, 푸른 성단과 붉은 성운 점점이 있는 넓은 나선팔은 허블 궤도를 도는 데이터와 스바루와 메이올의 지상 기반 사진을 결합한 이 놀라운 망원 사진에 기록됩니다. 약 50억 년 후에 안드로메다 은하는 우리 은하와 합쳐지기 바로 전에 밤하늘 전체에 걸쳐 보일 것이기 때문에 훨씬 더 쉽게 볼 수 있을 것입니다. 우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~
그리고 광활하며 거대합니다. 형형색색 변화하며 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 주네요~ 가볼 수는 없지만 이렇게 사진으로 볼 수 있어서 좋네요!
