어떤 우주의 모습을 비춰줄까요?
우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 The Fornax Cluster of Galaxies 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. Named for the southern constellation toward which most of its galaxies can be found, the Fornax Cluster is one of the closest clusters of galaxies. About 62 million light-years away, it is almost 20 times more distant than our neighboring Andromeda Galaxy, and only about 10 percent farther than the better known and more populated Virgo Galaxy Cluster. Seen across this two degree wide field-of-view, almost every yellowish splotch on the image is an elliptical galaxy in the Fornax cluster. Elliptical galaxies NGC 1399 and NGC 1404 are the dominant, bright cluster members toward the upper left (but not the spiky foreground stars). A standout barred spiral galaxy NGC 1365 is visible on the lower right as a prominent Fornax cluster member. 대부분의 은하가 발견되는 남쪽 별자리의 이름을 딴 화로자리 성단은 가장 가까운 은하단 중 하나이다. 약 6,200만 광년 떨어져 있으며, 우리의 이웃 안드로메다 은하보다 거의 20배 더 멀리 떨어져 있고, 더 잘 알려져 있고 인구가 많은 처녀자리 은하단보다 겨우 약 10% 더 멀리 떨어져 있다. 이 2도 너비의 시야에서 볼 수 있듯이, 이미지의 거의 모든 노란색 얼룩은 화로자리 은하단에 있는 타원은하입니다. 타원은하 NGC 1399와 NGC 1404는 왼쪽 상단에 있는 밝은 성단 구성원이다. 오른쪽 아래에 눈에 띄는 막대나선은하 NGC 1365가 눈에 띄는 화로자리 은하단의 구성원으로 보인다. 우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~
그리고 광활하며 거대합니다. 형형색색 변화하며 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 주네요~ 가볼 수는 없지만 이렇게 사진으로 볼 수 있어서 좋네요!
