어떤 우주의 모습을 비춰줄까요?
우선, 사진부터 감상하시죠! 이 멋진 사진의 제목은 Three Galaxies and a Comet 입니다.
NASA에서 공식적으로 제공한 설명을 보시죠. Distant galaxies abound in this one degree wide field of view toward the southern constellation Grus (The Crane). But the three spiral galaxies at the lower right are quite striking. In fact, all three galaxies are grouped about 70 million light years away and sometimes known as the Grus Triplet. They share the pretty telescopic frame, recorded on December 13, with the comet designated C/2020 V2 ZTF. Now outbound from the inner Solar System and swinging below the ecliptic plane in a hyperbolic orbit, the comet was about 29 light-minutes from our fair planet in this image. And though comet ZTF was brighter when it was closest to the Sun last May and closest to Earth in September of 2023, it still shines in telescopes pointed toward southern night skies, remaining almost as bright as the Grus Triplet galaxies. 멀리 떨어져 있는 은하들은 남쪽 별자리 그루스(학)를 향해 1도 넓은 시야를 가지고 있다. 하지만 오른쪽 아래에 있는 나선 은하 3개는 꽤나 눈에 띈다. 사실, 세 은하 모두 약 7천만 광년 떨어진 곳에 무리지어 있으며, 때때로 '그루스 삼중항'이라고도 한다. C/2020 V2 ZTF로 명명된 혜성과 12월 13일 기록된 예쁜 망원경 틀을 공유하고 있다. 태양계 안쪽에서 출발해 쌍곡궤도를 그리며 황도면 아래로 요동치는 이 혜성은 우리의 공정한 행성에서 약 29광분 거리에 있었다. 그리고 혜성 ZTF가 지난 5월 태양에 가장 가깝고 2023년 9월 지구에 가장 가까울 때는 더 밝았지만, 남쪽 밤하늘을 가리키는 망원경에서는 여전히 빛이 나며, 이는 그루스 삼중항 은하만큼 밝다. 우주의 다양한 모습은 아름답습니다~
그리고 광활하며 거대합니다. 형형색색 변화하며 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 주네요~ 가볼 수는 없지만 이렇게 사진으로 볼 수 있어서 좋네요!
